Here I show boarders, which are needed. Lack of borders is the fatal flaw of plastic track. Many don’t like the clickity clack sounds of plastic track, but I can live with the noise. However the lack of borders makes it un-drivable, especially with cars that don’t have magnets. I use snap on borders called speed corners and guard rails on the other three turns. This track can be set up or broken down in 15 minuets. The setup really epitomizes the concept of pulling track from a box and racing something interesting and fast in a short time.
The main variation in this track from the tuckaway 25 is separating the center track so one can fit lap counters and using bank turns on the right so it feels like a longer straight. Cars get a surge of power when another falls off the track. The power supply listed below in the list of things to buy is more powerful and will minimize this for the inside two lanes. On the outside use one of the set’s power pack per each of the two lanes which will solve the problem on the outside lanes.
